Founded by Laverne Wilson-Valis (She/Her), Elder Friends Concierge Services ™ was born to provide a safe, trustworthy senior concierge service geared towards elderly individuals looking to maintain their independence for as long as possible. Elder Friends Concierge Services ™ provides Elder Home Care in NYC to support those wishing to age in place and assess Senior Care in NYC for those in need. As a member of SageCare, providing care for LGBT older adults is paramount. Additional training for those experiencing symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care enables us to enhance the lives of all older adults in New York City by delivering Home Care Assistance. Elder Friends works towards reducing the stress of caring for your loved ones by giving non-medical essential services.

Additionally, by asking difficult questions as a Senior Advisor in NYC, we assess the ability of senior living facilities to provide aid and care to meet our client's needs. Having had extensive experience with her ailing father and other family members, Laverne set out to create a professional, reliable, and efficient home care assistance firm brimming with tailored support. From her experiences, Laverne believed that aging in place by living in one's own home for as long as possible is paramount to an independent, healthy lifestyle. As she juggled her own life, she needed to be there to support her parents with everyday tasks that were no longer easy for them to do but necessary to be done. Thus, Elder Friends was born. Laverne received her M.P. S from St. John’s University. She is a NYS General Topics Instructor, certified Senior Home Safety Specialist, and a CHAP Home Care -Compliance with New Home Care standards.

Our employees receive continued educational training regarding elderly safety in the home through Age Safe America. Proper training provides the tools for a smooth transition into our independent living services, giving the whole family peace of mind and easing the pressure.
